MDS Crazy Loops La Rosière: Seven Handi Teams on an Adventure Quest

MDS Crazy Loops: Heading for the second edition in La Rosière

From July 17 to 19, 2026, the second edition of the MDS Crazy Loops La Rosière took place. This edition was marked by the participation of seven Handi teams.

For some, it was an opportunity to test themselves ahead of the MDS Handi scheduled for October. For others, it was above all about pushing their limits, discovering the MDS Crazy Loops format, but most importantly, sharing an adventure.

The Crazy Loops Format: Designed for Flexibility

The MDS Crazy Loops is a format accessible to everyone, allowing participants to discover ultra running in a different way. Rather than imposing a fixed distance or course, participants complete loops around La Rosière over a 24-hour period.

This flexibility allows everyone to progress at their own pace, adjust their effort according to how they feel, and test their equipment in real conditions, without having to commit to an adventure in a desert environment.

An Adventure Above All Human

Beyond the sporting challenge, the MDS Crazy Loops La Rosière is above all a deeply human adventure. Here, performance is not measured solely by the number of kilometres covered or the time achieved. The pressure of the clock gives way to sharing, mutual support and solidarity between participants.

This dimension takes on its full meaning with the presence of Handi teams. Throughout the event, they can count on the support of other participants, who become true Helping Runners. On the most demanding sections, when the terrain becomes more challenging or fatigue sets in, some do not hesitate to offer their help, encouragement, support, or simply share a moment of effort.

As the loops go by, bonds are created between the teams. The MDS Crazy Loops goes beyond the simple framework of a race: it becomes a collective experience where everyone contributes to making the adventure a unique moment, built on respect, self-improvement and solidarity.

Impressive Performances

While the spirit of the MDS Crazy Loops is above all about sharing and solidarity, the performances achieved during this second edition were equally remarkable.

Among the women, Céline Brulais took first place with 11 loops completed, covering a total of 48.7 km. Lucie Nolet and Mélanie Massebeuf followed closely behind with 10 loops each, representing 44.3 km. These distances are particularly significant when considering the demands of the terrain.

Among the men, the competition was also intense. Thomas Dobbelaere and Éric Gigan finished in joint first place with 14 loops each, covering 62 km. Arthur Dahout completed the podium with 12 loops, representing 53.1 km. These results once again highlight the endurance, determination and commitment of the participants throughout the 24-hour challenge.

A Second Edition in La Rosière That Confirms the Spirit of MDS Crazy Loops

This second edition of the MDS Crazy Loops La Rosière confirms the unique identity of this format: a sporting adventure accessible to all, where everyone can discover the world of ultra running in their own way. By offering a challenge based on loops, duration and adaptation rather than a set distance, the MDS Crazy Loops introduces a new approach to endurance.

The presence of seven Handi teams also marked this edition and highlighted that ultra running is above all a collective adventure. Beyond the performances achieved, it was the moments of sharing, the support between participants and the commitment of the Helping Runners that gave the event its special dimension.

Between pushing personal limits, discovery, solidarity and shared emotions, the MDS Crazy Loops La Rosière shows that there are many ways to experience ultra running. An experience where every loop tells a story, where every participant finds their own challenge, and where the human adventure remains at the heart of the project.
