Set out to discover the legendary Sahara Desert, following in the footsteps of the MDS Legendary.
The MDS 120 Morocco features 3 stunning stages that will take you through some of the most beautiful places in the Sahara. A total of 70, 100 or 120 kilometers, to be covered at your own pace, walking or running.
You will spend 4 nights in the heart of the Sahara, at the MDS bivouac, as well as 4 nights in a hotel located in the Province of Ouarzazate (2 nights before and 2 nights after the adventure).

MDS 120 Morocco gives you the opportunity to discover the Sahara from within, the very terrain of the MDS LEGENDARY. With 40 editions under its belt, the MDS Legendary is an iconic event that inspires countless adventure and long-distance enthusiasts.
MDS 120 Morocco offers 70, 100 or 120 km through exceptional landscapes, fully immersed in the Sahara Desert, with unforgettable encounters and emotions along the way. And for those who dream of taking on the MDS LEGENDARY one day, it is also the perfect opportunity to train and test yourself in real desert conditions.
LIFE AT THE BIVOUAC & SELF-SUFFICIENCY
Life at the bivouac
During MDS 120 Morocco, you’ll immerse yourself in an authentic adventure where simplicity and camaraderie shape your days. Each night in the desert, you’ll sleep in your own individual tent at the MDS bivouac. The bivouac is organized into groups of six tents and remains in the same location throughout the event.
It’s a place for connection and sharing, where strong bonds are formed, stories and laughter are shared, and everyone comes together to help one another. Here, there’s no electricity, no mobile network, and no showers: just the essentials to reconnect with nature, yourself, and others.
On site, you’ll find toilets (don’t forget to bring your own toilet paper), shared shaded areas, and a medical tent open at all times to take care of you should you need it.
Self-sufficiency
MDS 120 Morocco takes place in complete food self-sufficiency. This means you’ll need to carry all the food you’ll need for your four days in the desert in your backpack. The organization provides drinking water only at the bivouac and at checkpoints, located approximately every 8 to 12 km during each stage. After each stage, you’ll receive 5 liters of water to use for drinking, cooking, or washing until the following day.
To prepare properly, plan for 10 to 12 meals, with a recommended minimum daily intake of 2,000 kcal. Many participants choose freeze-dried meals, savory snacks, dried fruit, or energy bars to keep their backpacks as light as possible.
This self-sufficient format provides an intense personal challenge… and makes crossing the finish line even more rewarding.

What is included in both offers:
Transfers between the airport, hotel and desert
4 nights in a double room at a hotel in the Ouarzazate region, at the gateway to the Sahara (2 nights before the adventure, 2 nights after)

4 nights at the MDS bivouac, in an individual tent

You will share your hotel room with another participant. Once registered, you will have the option to provide the name of the person you would like to share your room with. If you leave this field blank, you will be randomly assigned a roommate who speaks the same language as you. Rooms are single-gender unless otherwise requested.
