THE FORMAT

After the success of the first editions in Courchevel and La Rosière, the MDS Crazy Loops are coming to Val d’Isère for the very first time, for three days of inclusive, sporty, and festive adventure.

From August 21 to 23, 2026 in Val d’Isère, come experience three days of human adventure, driven by effort, encounters, and celebration, in the heart of a spectacular alpine setting.

An inclusive mountain adventure

Forget the pressure of the clock, the fear of cut-off times, and the elitism of ultra-endurance.

THE CHALLENGE? An extraordinary adventure awaits you: run, walk, take a break, enjoy, start again… and complete as many loops as possible!

Everyone moves at their own pace, carried by the collective energy and the magic of the mountains. One loop, ten, twenty… anything is possible. You take part according to your wishes, solo or in a team, at your own rhythm, running or walking.

Experience ultra running in a whole new way

3 to 5 Handi teams will share the course with you: you’ll witness their effort, their smiles, and sometimes even help them tackle a climb.

Everyone is a Helping Runner. On a steep section, a technical descent, or simply for the joy of sharing, you can join a Handi team at any time and help them move forward.

No fixed roles, no rules to follow, just solidarity in action.

Welcome to Val d’Isère, one of the most striking gems of the French Alps. Here, the mountains reveal their full power, raw and radiant. Between soaring peaks, alpine meadows, and crystal-clear streams, every corner seems made for adventure and wonder.

At over 1,800 meters above sea level, Val d’Isère reveals a different side in summer: endless panoramas, sun-drenched high-altitude trails, serene alpine forests, and a unique atmosphere where the air is pure and the silence is breathtaking.

Whether you’re an athlete, a nature lover, a challenge seeker, or simply someone who loves wide-open spaces, the resort offers an unparalleled playground for adventure.

The Crazy Loops Spirit

Where our differences follow the same path.

Here, the champions of ultra-running aren’t necessarily the ones who run the fastest or the farthest. They are also those we call "Handi," because for them, ultra-running is a daily challenge. Every movement is an effort. Every effort, a victory.

Crazy Loops is an experience to be lived together:

a 3 to 5 km loop to repeat freely
we run, we walk, we push, we pull, we stop… and we start again
we celebrate, share a meal, exchange a glance

Here, we learn not to fear disability, but to see it as a strength that lifts us all. We come with our legs, our arms, our wheels, our doubts, our energy.
We leave with new connections, shared moments, and sometimes, a renewed sense of purpose.

Everyone is welcome

Your four-legged companions are welcome on-site and along the course.

Be sure to bring their essentials, such as water and food, so they can fully enjoy the adventure too.

Complete as many loops as possible

At the end of the race, awards will be presented in the following categories:

For all formats (3h, 6h, 9h, 12h, and 24h)

Women’s Handi Team
Mixed Teams (M/F): A team must consist of a minimum of 2 participants, with no maximum limit (you may be 5, 10, 12, etc.). The number of laps completed by each team member will be added together. Therefore, the more participants your team has, the greater your chances of winning. All team members must be registered for the same time format.

For safety reasons, a wheelchair participant must be part of a Handi team composed of one pusher and one puller.

THE SPECIFICS

Accommodation: the Flexi-Bivouac

You have two options to experience the adventure according to your style:

Option Bivouac: individual tent provided on the camp (with options adapted to the specific needs of participants with disabilities).

Option Autonomous: no tent will be provided, so you can book accommodation in the resort.

The bivouac is also a shared living space, with continuous drinking water and hot water points for meals.

Food and equipment: simple and essential

You are responsible for your meals over the weekend.

You can bring your own food and snacks. Water is available continuously at the camp and along the course, as well as hot water for your freeze-dried meals. Restaurants will also be accessible nearby throughout the MDS Crazy Loops event.

No heavy logistics. Carry only what you need to complete the loops. With or without a backpack, you must bring at minimum 500 ml of water, some food, and clothing suitable for the conditions. A complete gear list will be sent to you once your registration is confirmed.
