Since its first edition in 2018, Peru has become one of the key destinations of the MARATHON DES SABLES. This country, rich in a millennia-old heritage, offers full immersion between physical challenge and deep cultural discovery.

Located along the Pacific Ocean, the Ica Desert is a truly unique territory. Its towering dunes and sweeping plains of fine sand form a striking landscape shaped by light and silence.
For three days, participants will traverse this pure and untamed environment — a wild setting that invites both effort and introspection.
What We Do in This Country with the MDS
At the heart of the adventure, runners cross a spectacular terrain that blends desert expanses with the presence of the ocean. The course reveals iconic locations such as the famous Ica dunes and the nearby mysterious Nazca Lines.
Before and after the race, stays in Lima and Paracas allow for cultural immersion — with historical heritage, laid-back living, and coastal scenery.
