Stage 3 of the 40th edition of the MDS Legendary took place under a cloudy sky in the morning. This cooler start hinted at an opportunity, and the leading men seized it immediately.

Michael Gras and Ludovic Pommeret set a strong pace, clearly determined to challenge the El Morabity brothers. For a time, it seemed possible. But the Moroccan duo absorbed the pressure. Mohamed gradually closed the gap, catching up with the leaders with control, before Rachid accelerated to reassert their authority at the front.

At the end of this third stage, the positions are becoming clear: Mohamed leads the overall standings in 7:43:23, with Rachid just behind in 7:47:20. Michael Gras remains solid in third place with 7:56:18, still within striking distance, but the brothers remain in control.

In the women’s race, Maryline continues to dominate with composure and confidence. Another very strong stage allows her to extend her lead to one hour over Agathe Teillet-Magot in second place, while Aziza El Amrany completes the podium.

Now, all eyes turn to Stage 4 of this 40th edition: 100 km with a 40-hour time limit. In the Sahara, nothing is ever guaranteed: positions can change, bodies can falter, and the race can be turned on its head in a single day.
