The start of the adventure

Transfers to the bivouac

From April 3 to 13, 1,500 participants are preparing to take on an extraordinary challenge: the longest edition in the history of the MDS Legendary. An anniversary edition celebrating 40 years of adventure in the heart of the desert.

This morning, the adventure officially began. Participants gathered in Ouarzazate, the starting point of a journey that goes far beyond a simple race. After the first exchanges and final preparations, they boarded the transfers heading to the bivouac.

On board the buses, excitement reached a new level. Between anticipation and focus, everyone finally got their first look at the roadbook for this 40th edition: distances, elevation gain, routes…

Now, all eyes turn to the bivouac, the beating heart of this anniversary edition, where the adventure will truly come to life.

An exceptional setting

Arrival at the bivouac

For this 40th edition, the arrival had to live up to the occasion. Participants discovered the bivouac in an exceptional setting: a red carpet, volunteers full of energy, and 40 camels from the Camel Squad (a team present throughout the course alongside participants and equipped with walkie-talkies) to welcome them… everything was in place to make a lasting impression from the very first moments.

Upon arrival, a message set the tone for the adventure they are about to experience: “Your legend begins here.”

After finding their tents and settling in, participants attended the general briefing, an opportunity to go over key information for the days ahead and share final recommendations.

Tonight, they will spend their first night under Berber tents, in the heart of the Sahara.
