Oasis Park Fuerteventura

Oasis Park Fuerteventura supports the HALF MARATHON DES SABLES as part of its commitment to the tourism and activities focused on sustainability, the preservation of the landscape and the respect and care of the natural heritage. The largest zoo in the Canary Islands and one of the largest in Europe, with more than 800,000 m2, maintains a philosophy based on respect and love for nature, sponsoring activities in favor of the environment. The park has a clear mission: To protect wild fauna and flora, with special emphasis on endangered species. It is an unprecedented space, reserved to preserve threatened nature, through research and education. It houses more than 3,000 animals of 250 different species, most rescued from illegal trafficking. Inside there is a botanical garden with 6,000 species of plants, among which is the largest collection of cacti on the continent. It is an oasis where we struggle to maintain the diversity of species and habitats and the natural wealth of the island of Fuerteventura.
